Edward A. Sher (Retired)

Edward A. Sher was born June 22, 1961, in St. Louis, Missouri. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Finance in December, 1982 from The University of Texas at Austin, and obtained his Juris Doctor from The University of Missouri at Kansas City in May, 1986.

For 14 years, he served first as an attorney with the Donald J. Sher, Attorney, Inc. law firm and then as a principal with Sher & Sher, P.C., before partnering with Michael Shabsin to establish Sher & Shabsin, P.C. in 2000. As Office Manager and Chief Financial Officer, he also concentrates in creditors’ rights, including landlord/tenant, retail and commercial collection litigation, replevin of collateral, and bankruptcy, and Missouri real estate transactions and foreclosure.

Edward is a member of the Missouri Bar and the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis.

Michael Shabsin

Michael Shabsin is a founding partner and president of Sher & Shabsin, P.C. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree from Indiana University in 1990 and his Juris Doctor from The John Marshall Law School in Chicago, Illinois in 1993. From 1995 to 2000, when he joined his firm with Sher & Sher, P.C., Michael was the principal and owner of Michael S. Shabsin, P.C. He is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Illinois and is a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis and the Illinois Creditor’s Rights Association.

A native of Chicagoland, Michael moved to St. Louis after law school where he began his legal career and his family. He is the proud and loving father of two sons. Michael also teaches his own style of yoga and meditation in and around St Louis.

John H. Soeder, III

John H. Soeder, III joined Sher & Shabsin, P.C. as an associate attorney in 2003. Prior to joining the firm as an associate, Jack served as the firm’s law clerk for two years. He graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree from St. Louis University in 2000 and received his Juris Doctor from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law.

Jack is licensed to practice law in Missouri and Illinois and is a member of the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis. He concentrates his practice in all facets of creditor’s rights law including: retail and commercial collection litigation, bankruptcy, landlord/tenant, secured transactions and foreclosure.

Jack is a native of Cleveland, Ohio and enjoys spending time with his family.
